They have been so good to me. I have gotten cupcakes, candy, coke (even though they get mad at me every time I drink it because I said I was giving it up for new years haha), a plant, a mini donut maker, a head massager, an itunes gift card, and a bunch of other fun treats. My favorite part though, is the sweet messages they have written me. I am so lucky to have gotten the greatest 2nd grade class. This school year has been long at times, and pretty rough at others, but one thing I know - is how much I love my kids. They have even started calling me 'mom' sometimes because they think it is funny that I refer to them as 'my kids.' Here are just a few of the notes I have gotten:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">"Ms Adams thank you for being a grate teacher. youur my Favorit techer I hop that you have fun when you. Get maryd. Love Adela"</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">"Thank you for being a sensational teacher and role model. All of your effort this year is appreciated. You do our job well! You are amazing! Love, Sydney" (written by a mom haha)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">"Dear Ms. Adams, this big and I mean big jar of candy is for you! It's got so much candy for you because you are the best teacher in the whole wide world! From, Jessica"</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">"Dear Ms. Adams you are the best teacher! Love, Megan"</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Now obviously we all know I am not the best teacher, but I do love those kids. I have been counting down the days until summer because I have been so excited to move on to this new chapter in my life, but I am really going to miss them. 15 days and counting! Honestly it has turned from anticipation to despair. How can I just move away from my 23 kids?</div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-34886118808745974552010-04-26T20:37:00.000-07:002010-04-26T20:40:44.833-07:00Cakewich<div style="text-align: center;">So when my neighbor's Food Network Magazine accidentally came to my house, I MAY have read through it... :) and I about peed my pants when I saw this. Is this not the greatest thing you have ever seen?! Well naturally I immediately had to go online and purchase it. Well... with the week I had last week, I am surprised I haven't been baking up a storm. It really made me think. It is crazy how true this really is...</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;">A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. "That laundry is not very clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap." Her husband looked on, but remained silent,. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this." The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;">And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;">Many times in life it is easy to blame or to complain that we have it hard. During these times step back and look at what is asked of us in a different light or from a different perspective and the burden often becomes lighter, and we realize it was not what we thought.</span></div></span>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-37264716545641711622010-03-21T21:02:00.000-07:002010-03-21T21:03:49.091-07:00Happy News<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:180%;">As of tonight, Brent and I are <span style="font-weight: bold;">engaged</span>!<br />Save the date: <span style="font-style: italic;">June 15, 2010</span></span><br /></div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-65226581510155330862010-03-03T14:40:00.000-08:002010-03-03T14:55:52.602-08:00Never Again... :)<div style="text-align: center;">Well folks, my Teacher Work Sample has officially been finished! This was probably one of the most stressful things I have ever done. Granted I have been a procrastinator since the day I was born (I was born one day early and that was the only time I was on time my family would probably say haha), and I actually started working on this months ago.... Well... even though I know my kids so well and was able to easily assess what they know and everything, it took me FOREVER! Before all my attachments and samples, it was 30 pages 1/2 double spaced and 1/2 single spaced. Let me just tell you... that takes A LOT of hours to do well. BUT I am finished! Woo Hoo! Last week was probably the longest week of my life, and while after a couple breakdowns and some mood swings later I am trying to get back to enjoying only have 2 jobs and a boyfriend that lives 2 hours away ;) Believe it or not, it makes my life seem so boring with so little to do!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Here are a few updates on my life (just incase anyone was wondering :)</div><div><ul><li style="text-align: center;">I become an auntie again this week when baby Harrison decides to grace the world with his presence (hopefully before Saturday, so pray for Steph)</li><li style="text-align: center;">I get to walk and have the fan fair of actually graduating from BYU (April 22-23)</li><li style="text-align: center;">Clay got home from his mission in Switzerland and is now my roommate :) It is so much more fun having a roommate than living alone (at least Lole and I have a few less conversations haha)</li><li style="text-align: center;">Trey got his mission call to serve in the Democratic Republic of the Congo mission! He leaves June 16th! I can't believe it! We are going to miss him so much!</li><li style="text-align: center;">My parents came to visit last week which was amazing! I tell you what - I wish I could go back and be more appreciative of living at home. Thank you Mom and Dad for all you do for us (and have done). You are amazing!</li><li style="text-align: center;">Things with Brent are going amazingly. He is so good to me and makes me so happy. Not to mention he spoils me a little bit :) He got me a Polar Watch for my birthday which makes it SO fun to exercise and keep track of it!</li><li style="text-align: center;">Sunday dinners have officially gone to having 6 of us (Katchie, Jeff, Me, Brent, Clay, and Trey)! It is so nice to have so many of us together here in Utah. We miss our family so much and I am so glad we have that tradition. My brothers and sisters are some of my best friends and I am so glad we have the relationships we do.</li><li style="text-align: center;">I have 58 more days of school this year! I can't believe it is already ending! With all of the layoffs and budget cuts in Utah this year, pray for me to get blessed with a teaching job!</li></ul><div style="text-align: center;">I will post some pictures soon, I promise :)</div></div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-43029149983264589482010-02-11T11:20:00.001-08:002010-02-11T11:38:07.272-08:00I'm on a roll :)<div style="text-align: center;">I have a lot to be grateful for. I have so many opportunities and reasons to be happy. Here are just a few things that make me smile...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">1. Getting a voicemail from a family member. I don't know why I love it so much, but I get so excited when I get a voicemail! ESPECIALLY when that voicemail is full of sweet little singing voices :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">2. Lole. She is so cute. she is back to her old self after all the puppies are gone, and she has such the sweetest personality! She makes me laugh every day! Every morning when I wake up, all she wants to do is run around and play with me. And when I am down, she will lay down and whine with me :) (misery loves company haha)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">3. When my students are trying to spell something and they accidentally do a naughty word without meaning to :) For example, one of my students wanted to write that she was funky looking and wrote a 'c' instead of a 'n'... I love how innocent they are.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">4. Weekends. Having worked weekends all through college, I never really had too much to be excited about when Friday rolled around. But now that I am dating this amazing guy that lives in LOGAN, I have learned to appreciate and look forward to the weekends, where I can just wind down and enjoy the company.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">5. Email. Similar to voicemail, I love it when my momma sends me an email to let me know she is thinking about me. It always brightens up my day.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">6. Not having a headache. I have finally found a prescription to take away my chronic headaches, and it is crazy how much more enjoyable life can be when you don't have a headache :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">7. Brent. We can seriously be doing nothing (i.e. wandering around the gateway and realizing that neither of us knows where we are going) and have so much fun. He is willing to be spontaneous, he is romantic, he is fun, and he always knows how to make me smile. It was truly a tender mercy to have him come into my life when he did, and I am so blessed to have the experiences I have had... because I think without them, I wouldn't truly appreciate what we have and the kind of man he is.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">8. Picture books. I absolutely love reading to my kids. And in 2nd grade we read a lot of picture books, and I didn't realize how much we miss out on when we grow up. There are some great books out there! I love to watch how intently my kids watch and listen while I am reading a story.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">9. Honesty. For example, one of my students asks to use the restroom at a very inconvenient time, to which I reply "Can you wait, or is it an emergency?" and he looks behind him and says "it is kinda leaking..." haha</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">10. The scriptures. I have been off and on since high school about being diligent with reading my scriptures, and the past couple years I have been terrible. I have been reading the scriptures nightly (well most nights haha) right before I go to bed, and I love the way it makes me feel. I love reading about my Redeemer and the things he has done for me.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">11. Family and Friends. Through everything in the past 2 years, good and bad, I have realized how amazing the people around me are. I am so blessed to have all of you in my life. I know that whenever I need anything, that there are so many people I can count on. I am truly blessed.</div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-85069976509872434092010-02-11T11:15:00.000-08:002010-02-11T11:19:57.757-08:002 Years Later...I know I haven't been very good about posting the past couple of months, life has been crazy busy lately! But today I can't not post. Today Elder Bubba comes home. I can't believe that he has already been gone two years! It is crazy to think about everything our family has gone through in the past two years and now here we are! Sickness, surgeries, death young and old, new life, divorce, moving,... a lot has happened. I am so proud of my little brother. I like to call him my 'little' brother because age wise is really the only way I can get away with that. He is such a spiritual giant and has been such a great example to me. He has spent the past two years serving others and bringing them the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is such a testimony builder to me to hear about all of the amazing experiences he has been able to have, and the lives he has obviously changed for the better. I wish I was going to be there when he flies in, but unfortunately I will be in Utah and he is flying into Iowa. I know the rest of us will be there in spirit! I am so excited to just give him a big hug and hear in person about what he has experienced! Love you Bubba!Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-46814694732565569522009-11-17T22:15:00.000-08:002009-11-17T22:28:47.497-08:00Life in the fast lane...<div style="text-align: center;">So it is so hard to believe but those tiny puppies from my last post are now 3 1/2 weeks old! They are the cutest things you have ever seen and I am afraid if I don't get them put on craigslist soon that I will end up being the crazy dog lady with 10 dogs! :) They all have the cutest little personalities and are starting to get to that fun stage where they want you to pet them and hold them, and pee when you talk to them in a high voice (haha it makes me laugh every time)! I am trying not to get too bothered with the fact that my downstairs smells like 10 puppies who poop all day ( I am getting neurotic and changing their papers every day)! I am just enjoying the journey ;)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">School is 1/3 finished! I can't believe I have made it this far! Honestly it is really hard. Being a first year teacher with demands from parents, students, fellow teachers, supervisors, principal, BYU supervisors, etc... gets a little overwhelming at times. It is hard to please everyone and still have a moment for myself at the end of the day, but I feel like I am doing a descent job and I am learning a ton about myself, 2nd graders, and about teaching. Here is one of the life lessons I learned last week for instance:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span><b>If a 8 year old who normally follows every single rule asks you if she can go to the restroom eeven when she knows it is during the ONE HOUR a day (between recesses) that they aren't supposed to use the restroom... let her go... it is probably an emergency</b>. Well I wasn't thinking and gave her the same response I give my other 23 students - "You know the rule during math time." and she walked away. Well she came back and told me it was an emergency and so I told her to go (obviously). Well.. OBVIOUSLY she didn't inform me in time because at that point she had already pooped her pants. She went to the restroom and tried to clean it up... unsuccessfully... and managed to get human feces all over the front and back of her jeans. WELL... on the way to the other 2nd grade class for rotations she informed me that what was on her pants was mud (she just come in from recess) and so I believed her and sent her on her way. 10 minutes later I was informed that in fact it was not mud, but poop all over her pants. Well folks, the story ends with her going home and changing and and very upset mother calling and yelling at me because I am forcing 2nd graders to 'hold it' when they need to use the restroom and blaming me for the fact that her 8 year old got poop all over her body. Now I take responsibility for not knowing that it was an emergency - but seriously... how does one manage to have an accident and then rub it all over the outside of their pants. I don't even want to know what the bathroom looked like.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Haha needless to say, things have been a little less chaotic since that happened last week, but I am much more willing to let any of my students use the restroom at any time of the day! I smile 'cause I know in the end the world gets beautiful again.</i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">So I have avoided this post for a while now... but pictures are surfacing and rather than having people wonder what is going on I would rather just be open. Adam and I are getting divorced. It has been a long couple of months and I just want to say thank you to all of you who have been there for me lately. Including those in Adam's family. I am surrounded by amazing family and friends and I know I couldn't have accomplished and gotten through what I have without all of your support. So THANK YOU. Right now we are filed and just waiting on the judge to finalize everything from our papers. Details aside, I just hope everyone can know that I think we are both good people and will both go on to accomplish great things in life. Those things just will no longer be together. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I feel like I am doing really well right now considering the circumstances and am keeping really busy. My 25 seven year olds really keep me challenged and I really love each and every one of them despite the behavior problems some of them give me every day haha! I am learning a lot about myself and about what it takes to be a teacher. I can't believe we are almost through September already! Lole is pregnant again (I hope haha) and if all goes well (and she starts eating again) she will have a brood of pups right around Halloween! :) That should really keep me busy for the next little while!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Once again... thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who have saved me lately. I wish I had the time to make all of you cupcakes and thank-yous that could truly express my gratitude :) One of these days I'll find the time haha (amidst teaching full time and working 3 shifts a week at Happy Sumo)!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Love you all! </div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-12253559838952403612009-08-31T19:40:00.000-07:002009-08-31T19:46:05.853-07:00Love You Grandpa<div style="text-align: center;">I found this post I wrote on our family blog a couple of years ago (December 22, 2007) when we were told Grandpa Henderson woulnd't make it through that night... he is the definition of a survivor and had a long journey. He passed away on Friday evening and he will be forever missed and loved. I am so grateful for my knowledge of eternal life and I know that the reunion he is having with those he loves who have passed on before is a sweet one. One of my favorite moments with Grandpa Henderson was when I was almost 16 and we were having Christmas vacation at our house in Pleasant View (we lived in MN but still had our house there). We wanted to take a family picture in front of the Christmas tree and we were all there smiling and all of a sudden Grandpa started yelling "Somebody moved the button! Where is the button?!" I just remember laughing so hard. He was such a cute man. His funeral is going to be this weekend and I am definitely not looking forward to saying goodbye...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I love this memory also... AHH!! I am so so excited! My mom has been in town for the last couple of weeks and I feel like between me, her, and Katchie, we have spent hundreds of hours in that classroom (and out) getting ready for the school year! My mom is amazing and was gracious enough to paint and create all the illustrations for my bulletin boards and they looks AMAZING! And it was so nice to have Katchie there to keep me moving when I started draggin lol! All the teachers in the school are so jealous! The teacher who had my room before me retired and left behind so so so so much stuff in her classroom and it took forever to sort through, decide what to keep and throw away (there was a lot to throw away) and I got it ready just in time for back to school night last night! Here are a few pictures, but I will have to take a couple in the morning of the finished product! I am so proud of us - it looks wonderful! My theme is cooking/baking and so everything ties into that for the room! I have 24 2nd graders and they are so cute! I can't wait for all they are going to teach me this year! Here are a few pictures my mom took while we were finishing up before back to school night! Wish me luck! I will keep y'all posted on my adventures :)<div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTm93-dcI/AAAAAAAAATc/CeHblyz099w/s1600-h/My+Classroom!+006.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTm93-dcI/AAAAAAAAATc/CeHblyz099w/s400/My+Classroom!+006.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371901121943991746" /></a>The students desks with their goodie bags with cookie cutters and baking mats :)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTmehurFI/AAAAAAAAATU/0MDICZcSaWM/s1600-h/My+Classroom!+013.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTmehurFI/AAAAAAAAATU/0MDICZcSaWM/s400/My+Classroom!+013.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371901113529183314" /></a>What is posted out in the hall so I can display work!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTl_6YkNI/AAAAAAAAATM/gpPKuieD5A4/s1600-h/My+Classroom!+014.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTl_6YkNI/AAAAAAAAATM/gpPKuieD5A4/s400/My+Classroom!+014.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371901105311092946" /></a>My Chef (spotlight) of the week poster!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTlJvpUtI/AAAAAAAAATE/PA0gQJly67A/s1600-h/My+Classroom!+008.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTlJvpUtI/AAAAAAAAATE/PA0gQJly67A/s400/My+Classroom!+008.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371901090770539218" /></a>My AWESOME pink rocking chair and calendar!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTkYdbmMI/AAAAAAAAAS8/0ZHrkxkur3g/s1600-h/My+Classroom!+001.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SozTkYdbmMI/AAAAAAAAAS8/0ZHrkxkur3g/s400/My+Classroom!+001.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371901077540804802" /></a>Working hard on finishing touches!<br /><br /><div><br /></div></div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-46043895147663475372009-08-13T19:31:00.000-07:002009-08-13T19:37:10.591-07:00Love Them!<div align="center"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SoTM5rmVHnI/AAAAAAAAASU/59gxHBzEN3I/s1600-h/AudraMcdonald.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369641947060575858" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Yyu9XPp7WbI/SoTM5rmVHnI/AAAAAAAAASU/59gxHBzEN3I/s400/AudraMcdonald.jpg" border="0" /></a> Do any of you recognize these beautiful people?! Well I didn't at first when I went up to serve them at Happy Sumo either! And then in the middle of taking thier order I realized who it was!!! If you watch Private Practice on ABC, you will recognize Audra McDonald as playing Naomi!!! I love that show and I love her! The gentleman she was with looked so familiar as well and I realized after they left that it was William Swensen who now plays in Hair on Broadway, but was also the main character on Singles Ward!! Crazy huh! Anyway, I was freaking out the whole time I was serving them (they were super nice and polite by the way!) and then after they paid out I went on to make a fool of myself in telling Audra how much I loved her :) I only wish I remembered sooner how I knew her boyfriend haha! I totally understand that. A lot of people are struggling financially. But if you are going to go out to eat - don't take it out on your server. This has been my latest frustration lately. I don't know how many people actually know this, but servers only make $2 an hour. So what that means, is that when our paychecks arrive... they say $0.00 (most of the time). So what does this mean? This means our only income comes from the tables that we serve. This means that if we happen to get those cheap people on our rotation, we don't have the money to pay our bills. You wouldn't go to a mechanic, cosmotolegist, handyman, lawyer, etc... and not pay them for what they do - so what makes it ok to do it to servers??</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">If I am a terrible server, I can understand a bad tip. I didn't do what was expected of me for my table to pay me. But if someone comes out to dinner and recieves good/great service - that server needs to be paid! </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">This has been really difficult for me lately. We still get tables coming in at the Happy Sumo, but with this economy we are slower; therefore, we are also making less money. Lately I have experienced a lot more instances where people get great service and leave a bad tip. I hope not to offend anyone with this statement, but... If you don't have the money - don't go out to eat where you have to tip!!! McDonalds and Wendys have a great dollar menu, seriously! </div><div align="center">I know this blog sounds totally rude, but I felt the need to vent. I have been working a ton since school let out and this has been something we have seen a lot more of lately!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><strong>*** To all you 20% tippers out there... We love you :)***</strong></div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;">On a lighter note:</span></div><div align="center">- Trey graduates this weekend!!</div><div align="center">- We get to go to MN tomorrow and see our wonderful family!!</div><div align="center">- I am getting very excited to teach in the fall!</div><div align="center">- Bessie is almost 8 weeks old and hilarious as ever!!</div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25644735.post-39950739093670560412009-04-29T20:29:00.000-07:002009-04-29T20:37:18.620-07:00Bessie!<div align="center"> Seriously, how can you not fall in love with this face?! I could not be more thrilled about life! And I think I actually got pretty great grades! :) It felt so great walking down from campus today knowing that was the last time I would have to take a test in the testing center! It has been a great 4 years and I look forward to the future! Unfortunately I won't graduate until next April when my internship is finished (which I think is rediculous) but that doesn't kill my excitement at all!!! I have been through a lot in the past 4 years - so thanks so much to everyone for all your love and support! I couldn't have made it through school without all the amazing people in my life! Love y'all!!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Only a month or so until Adam and I are enjoying the beaches of Maui! Ra Ra Rass, Kick him in the...<div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;">(haha that was for you, Mom :)</span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;"></span> </div><div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;">So this weekend I have been remenising back to 8th grade and the crazy dealings of cheerleading tryouts. Now if you knew me back then, I don't know if you remember, but it was a big deal! But the hardest part of it all was that most of my friends were also trying out for cheerleader and there were only 10 spots available. 10 spots = not all of our friends making it (tragic, I know). And if you also remember... I didn't make it. </span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;"></span> </div><div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;">Well... this coming Monday comes another stressful time for me... Intern interviews. I am finishing up my second practicum in a 5th grade classroom on Tuesday and on Monday we have our interviews to intern in Alpine School District next year instead of student teaching. There are about 15 schools in the district that have openings for interns next year so there will be about 15 principals and 15 vice principals interviewing us in groups of about 4 or 5. There are about a million questions we are supposed to study incase they ask us, and we will find out on Tuesday whether or not we got one of the 26 spots available. If not, there is a second round process, and if you still don't get picked you student teach next year instead. I am super super nervous! I really hope to get an internship, but I also have a lot of friends that are applying that are excellent cantidates (as well as other impressive girls that I don't know as well). </span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;"></span> </div><div align="center"><span style="color:#ff0000;">SO... I'll keep you posted on Tuesday... hopefully with good news. I have been working for this for 4 years so I really hope it pays off! Keep my in your thoughts and prayers this weekend!</span></div>Brent and Mary Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17533771757857833828noreply@blogger.com7
