So I have noticed the wierdest thing since I have been working at Happy Sumo. Practically every day I walk up to a table and someone looks at my name tag and says,
"Mary Rose! Is that your real name?"
Now maybe it is just me, but isn't that the wierdest thing to ask! I have never thought my name sounded made up, but maybe it does? What do you think?

I agree--that is a really strange question to ask. I mean if your name was something crazy like Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock (Friends reference, in case you didn't get it!), then maybe I would understand. But Mary Rose? Really? People are so strange!
Well, you could always say, "Hey it's English. Maybe I was born here, but I wasn't made here!" J/K I think you are the most beautiful Mary "Rose" ever!!
I also love your name....maybe they are used to only hearing Mary...rather than Mary Rose, but I do think that that is a weird question to ask someone.
I still like it and think it fits you. Plus it is made up of family names with some meaning - don't even go there about Henry VIII's ship that sunk with the same name (named after his sister).

Mary Rose, I absolutly love your name! Some people are just a bit brask and say things with out thinking, Oh, that sounds like me. I try not to but I guess I can see myself saying something dumb like that. I think it is cuz they end up reading your name tag longer than they expected, so they have to come up with some comment. Love ya, miss ya.
